Privacy & analytics

Climate Guidance is run by Dr Richard Davy. For questions about your information, email richard@climateguidance.com.

Your analytics choice

Optional analytics helps me understand which pages and tools people use and how long they remain engaged. You can allow or decline analytics and keep using the whole website. Change your choice here whenever you like.

Optional analytics stays off until you allow it.

What is measured

With your permission, Google Analytics receives the public page path and title, referral source, broad device and approximate location information, engagement time and predefined actions such as opening a tool, changing its controls or clicking a book checkout button. It uses a pseudonymous browser identifier stored in first-party cookies. Calculator values, contact-form contents, order references and URL query strings are excluded from the events this website sends.

Reports are restricted to the authorised owner account. Google processes the measurements to provide the analytics service. Advertising personalisation and Google signals are disabled in the website tag.

Storage and changing your choice

Your analytics choice is remembered in this browser for six months. Analytics cookies are set for up to 90 days. Declining analytics stops collection, clears these analytics cookies and reloads the page if analytics was already running. Browser privacy opt-out signals keep optional analytics off.

Clearing browser storage resets your choice. Visits made with analytics declined, browser blocking or privacy opt-out signals are absent from the reports, so the totals describe the visits that can be measured.

Orders and enquiries

When you contact me or place an order, I use the details you provide to reply, deliver the book and handle order questions. Major-edition emails are optional; you can stop those updates by replying “unsubscribe”. For help, contact richard@climateguidance.com.
